Although we’re not big fans of frigid temperatures, there are times when cold weather can provide for fun and entertainment.
That’s exactly what happened today on one of our smaller ponds.
After a couple of days of temps in the teens, the frozen ice was a big hit for the kids.
I don’t know if we have a future hockey player or not, but watching David slide around on the ice and play broom hockey with his sister was a lot of fun.
As you can see, even the cat found her way onto the ice.
I’m not sure what she thought about it, but she looked right at home out there.
Unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, the ice didn’t last long.
The next day temps rose into the 50’s and the ice quickly melted again.
I’m quite certain there will be more opportunities coming to get back onto the ice.
For me, I’m ready for Spring and 70 degree weather!
